Welcome to the Meet the Talent Acquisition Team blog series! Over the next couple of weeks we will be highlighting our Talent Acquisition Team members who hire top talent for Waggener Edstrom Worldwide in the United States. Hope y’all find it entertaining!
To start, we’d love to highlight Jodi Moore, our Talent Acquisition Manager. Jodi has been with Waggener Edstrom Worldwide for over 8 years now and prior to leading our Talent Acquisition Team, Jodi most recently managed the recruitment for our Studio D team.

How did you first hear about the opportunity at Waggener Edstrom Worldwide Worldwide and why did you decide to join the agency?
I’ve been recruiting since 1993 (oops now you all know I am not 29!) and every job I’ve ever been offered has been by referral, as was the case with Waggener Edstrom Worldwide. Prior to Waggener Edstrom Worldwide I worked at IBM, and while I was there made some great relationships and connections, one of them being Leslie. I found out that Leslie had been working at Waggener Edstrom Worldwide the past few years and absolutely loved the company, so really it was a no brainer when she said the recruiting team was hiring. I had no idea who or what Waggener Edstrom Worldwide was (until I did my research of course J) and realized they were a very cool, hip public relations agency doing amazing work with innovative companies on a global scale. So I decided to interview, which started with a phone screen (whew, passed the first round) and then I met the team in-person. Now don’t get me wrong, I’ve worked with amazing teams in my past, but there was something different about this team and for the first time in a long time, I found myself super excited to be moving to a new industry and joining such an amazing team and company. As I look back 8 years later, I am still reminded why I took the job in the first place…THE PEOPLE!
How long have you worked at Waggener Edstrom Worldwide Worldwide?
I’ve never worked for a company longer than 4 years, but April 7th will be my 9th year at Waggener Edstrom Worldwide – WOW! I started as a Talent Acquisition Partner supporting our infrastructure teams (Operations, Tech Services, Legal, Finance, Administration), and account teams such as Bioscience and our Tech practice in Austin. After some time, I also took on our Professional Services teams (writing, editing, graphic design, research, measurement, communication training) and also ran our Internship Program. In 2008, I got to support our digital team which has now grown into our digital powerhouse – WE Studio D! Today I have the best job on the planet and of course I think within the company, because I get to lead a team of the most amazing, dedicated Talent Acquisition Partners on the planet! That’s right – there is not a day that goes by that I don’t remind myself how lucky I am to be at a company that recognizes good work and also rewards you for it as well!
The People. The Fun. Seriously if you are going to spend 8-9 hours a day with your co-workers – you better like them and have some fun too! I’d also say no one day is ever the same in recruiting, so I am constantly amazed at what I learn and how I can still grow in my job on a daily basis.
What has been your most favorite experience so far being a Waggener Edstrom Worldwide Worldwide employee?
Opportunities to try new things and take risks on a daily basis!

What would you want to be doing if you weren’t a rock star Talent Acquisition team member?
If I wasn’t a TA rock star and didn’t have to pay my mortgage, I’d be a painter!
