A Breath of Fresh Air

For the 4th of July weekend, we provided tips for attending outdoor events. We also recently shared a new favorite rooftop to check out at the Gramercy Park Hotel in NYC.
So now I’m going to share with you my favorite way to enjoy a bit of fresh air in NYC… BEER GARDENS (or biergartens). Visit your neighborhood Beer Garden this weekend for a “site visit.” You never know when you’ll need a creative, outdoor location for an evening reception!
La Birreria, 200 5th Avenue, NYC
“A massive roof-top brewery is an understatement for this Flatiron District hot spot. Sitting on top of popular Italian eatery, Eataly, this beer garden boasts a space of 8,000 square feet with 300 seats available. Its old-world Italian style is alive but not in a way to alienate younger guests. The venue offers a retractable roof to cool guests down not to mention their unfiltered house brews made on the premises.” – Guest of a Guest

Thanks for the nice mention of our app, Blake. We’re ramping up to release version 2.1 (about a dozen new or relaunched beer gardens) before the Labor Day weekend–and in plenty of time for Oktoberfest 2011!
